Shep did a lot of live appearances over the years ranging from on-stage shows at colleges,universities, high schools, and other groups to acting as emcee for such events as Jazz concerts to car rallies. He always seemed willing to entertain a crowd or do something in connection with his interests, such as cars and ham radio.
